Me Calin Popovici
Calin Popovici is the co-founder of PC Legal and heads its Civil Law division. Driven by his passion for entrepreneurship, he cofounded PC Legal with his partner. He practices in Business Law, Commercial and Real Estate Law and Litigation. Known for his excellent negotiation skills, meticulous approach and commitment to client success, Mr. Popovici has conducted a wide range of business and real estate transactions, as well as dispute resolution matters. His practice focuses on guiding clients through complex legal matters with a strong emphasis on practical solutions, attention to detail and client-first service. Mr. Popovici has earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and Juris Doctor (J.D.) degrees from University of Montreal. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Concordia University. Mr. Popovici remains very active in his community and contributes regularly to charitable foundations. He is fluent in English, French and Romanian.

Me Stephanie Chouliareas
Stephanie Chouliareas is the co-founder of the firm and heads its Family Law division. As one of the leaders in her industry she is known for fiercly defending her clients’ rights while maintaining a compassionate and human approach to family law. Her knowledge, accessibility and sound judgment have allowed her to successfully represent her clients whether in Court or in obtaining favorable settlements. Ms. Chouliareas earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from University of Montreal and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History from McGill University.

Me Selena De Blasio
Me Selena De Blasio began her legal career as a paralegal, here she developed a foundation in legal research, drafting and client communication. As a paralegal, she worked in criminal law, correctional law and franchise law. Inspired by her experience, she pursued her law degree at the University of Ottawa. As former President of the Association des femmes en droit de l’Université d’Ottawa, she advocated for equity and inclusion for women in the legal field. After completing her articling at PC Legal, Me De Blasio has joined PC Legal as an attorney practising in family law, civil law and corporate law. She approaches every challenge with focus, discipline, and a commitment to growth.



Me Ioana Gurau-Budeci
Me Gurau-Budeci is a member of our Family Law team. Her practice primarily focuses on all aspects of separation for married or common-law spouses, addressing both child-related matters and the financial consequences of separation. She also provides advice and assistance in other areas of law, including commercial matters. Before joining PC Legal, Me Gurau‑Budeci practiced at a Quebec law firm specializing in intellectual property, where she worked primarily on commercial intellectual property matters, regulatory affairs, and business law. Her experience enables her to apply the law to complex, real‑life situations. Her attention to detail and intellectual curiosity set her apart, allowing her to offer clients a thoughtful and multifaceted approach to their legal challenges. Me Gurau‑Budeci holds a Licentiate of Law from the University of Ottawa, where she graduated Cum Laude, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Montreal. She was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2024. She is fluent in English, French, and Romanian.
Me Shannon Jessop
Me Shannon Jessop graduated from the Université de Montréal in 2009 and is a member of the Quebec Bar since 2011. After articling with Me Heyeur in 2010, Me Jessop joined Heyeur Avocate as a lawyer in 2011 and partnered with Me Heyeur in 2018 to form Heyeur Jessop. Me Jessop is passionate about international and internal family law. Me Jessop is perfectly bilingual in French and English and can communicate on an intermediate level in Spanish and Italian.
Me Cristina Diana Balasu
Me Cristina Diana Balasu is a dedicated lawyer having graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Montréal in 2020, and becoming a member of the Québec Bar in 2021. She is fluent in French, English, and Romanian, allowing her to serve a diverse clientele effectively, and with much care and an attention to details. Her practice of law encompasses various areas, including family, civil, corporate, and bankruptcy law. Since 2021, she has gained extensive experience having pleaded cases before the Superior Court and the Court of Québec.

Me Sophie Gioia
Me Gioia holds a Licentiate of Law from the University of Ottawa. Admitted to the Bar in 2023, she is a member of our family law team. Her practice focuses on various aspects of separation for married or common-law spouses, addressing both child-related matters and the economic impacts of separation. Me Gioia joined PC Legal in 2024. Fluent in English, French, and Italian, Me Gioia is committed to advocating for her clients with dedication, always keeping her clients' and their children's best interests at heart.

Me Jade Frédérique Fourmond
Me Fourmond holds a Bachelor of Laws and is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor (JD) at the University of Montreal. Her practice primarily focuses on civil law, particularly in the areas of contracts, civil liability, and litigation. However, Me Fourmond is also able to offer advice and assistance in various other areas of law, thanks to her versatile training and her ability to approach legal issues from multiple perspectives. Passionate about applying legal principles to real-life situations, Me Fourmond stands out for her thoroughness and commitment to providing tailored and effective legal solutions for her clients. She offers her services in both French and English to better meet the needs of a diverse clientele.
